Plant to Manufacture Unique Battery Current Collectors
Plant Designed to be Scaled up for
Mass Production of Power Technology Batteries
HOUSTON , March 20, 2006
(PRIMEZONE) -- Alternative energy company Power Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:PWTC)
announced today a new pilot plant is underway to manufacture the company's unique
battery current collectors.
Once completed, the new plant is designed
to be fully scalable to permit the mass production of the Power Technology Reticulated
Vitreous Carbon current collectors. Bernard J. Walter, President and
CEO of the Company explained, "This facility will allow Power Technology
to manufacture the current collectors necessary for the production of batteries
utilizing our unique, proprietary technology. Equipment and machinery is scheduled
for delivery in April and we expect to have the pilot plant operational in May
of this year. This is a major accomplishment for the company in bringing the
Power Technology research and development efforts to the commercial market for
sale."
